On July 26 and 27 2010, Mr Liu Jiayi, Auditor General of China attended First Meeting of Leaders of SAIs of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization hosted by SAI Russia. Heads of SAIs of Kazakhstan, China, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan attended the meeting and exchanged extensively their experiences under the themes of (1) National anti-crisis programmes and their realization—the Role of SAIs and (2) Budget monitoring as a key area of the activity of SAIs: positive experience. Mr Liu Jiayi delivered two reports at the meeting on CNAO’s practices about the role of audit in mitigating the impact of financial crisis and how budget implementation is audited in China.
