China Audit Newspaper started publication in 1998 and is the national institutional newspaper of the audit profession in China. Its main aim and objectives include:

-- Under the guidance of Deng Xiaoping Theory and centering around reform, opening up and economic construction, the Newspaper shall implement the Communist Party's polices, guidelines and principles;

--put auditing supervision into full play in the socialist market economy;

--publicize the state economic and financial laws, rules and regulations;

--publicize and implement instructions on audit work put forward by the Communist Party Central Committee and the State Council;

--publicize policies, guiding principles and work plans of CNAO and recent developments concerning audit work and promote exchanges of auditing experience;

--commend exemplary audit institutions and model audit personnel and promote research in and disseminate new knowledge of audit profession;

--report to the management suggestions and requirements of auditors and other staff;

--introduce advanced foreign auditing theories and approaches.
