The main responsibilities of the Department of Leader’s Economic Accountability Audit include:

-instructing the leader’s economic accountability audit work of local audit institutions, departments, direct subordinate enterprises and undertakings of the central government;

-drafting relevant regulations, rules, provisions, guidelines, and policies in respect of leader’s economic accountability audit;

-supervising and examining the implementation of leader’s economic accountability audit;

-carrying out investigation and research on the leader’s economic accountability audit

-collecting the information of leader’s economic accountability audit carried out nationwide;

-editing and releasing relevant news and informing competent authorities about the cases of leader’s economic accountability audit;

-reviewing the audit documents about leader’s economic accountability audit produced by CNAO;

-communicating with departments concerned on issues of leader’s economic accountability audit;

-acting as secretariat to Joint Meeting of the Five Ministries under the Central Government on leader’s economic accountability audit;
